Hello. I'm a new joiner, its been a month or two since then. I haven't tried repotting a palm but I read a couple of articles saying that it can kill the plant. I plotted my palm 5 years ago on soda bottle (1.5L / 50 oz), thinking of slowing its growth but I don't know if I'm just killing it instead.

Any suggestions what to do to avoid fraying pronds?

Welcome to the posting side!

I would put it in a bigger pot. Cut the plastic bottle on opposite sides with a razor blade or very sharp knife and open the bottle like a book. Then you can get it out without root damage.

Yes, repot in larger pot. Use well draining, coarse garden soil, not cheap black potting soil. Where are you?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Sure, i'll try this. I'll find bigger pot which will fit him. I heard, its better to find taller ones than wider ones
