My Lytocaryum weddellianum N°1308 produced only staminate (male) flowers in all four inflorescences since. The peduncle was in all cases extremely short. Is this a rare exception or quite normal?

I had a similar recent experience, two inflorescense and both all male flowers.  To my knowledge it's the first time flowering.  Flowers have been very slow to open and I have also not observed any pollen dropping.
