JLM Posted December 17, 2020 Report Share Posted December 17, 2020 Regarding the tornado in the Tampa area yesterday, the National Weather Service rated it an EF2 in Pinellas County, and an EF1 into Hillsborough and Polk Counties. Thanks, that would be the last thing I'd want to deal with at this point. North Lakeland has had several instances of tornadoes damaging property over the last year or two. Kathleen HS had damage from the last set of tornadoes in late 2019: https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-polk/reported-tornado-damages-kathleen-middle-school-leading-to-school-cancellations Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt or killed. This far inland, some of the worst hurricane damage appeared to be from tornadoes during Charley. I remember seeing a lot of blue tarps over roofs in Lake Wales, and then not far away, a block home completely reduced to rubble.
