Cambridge Botanic Garden have supplied a Tahina to the Eden Project in Cornwall. Anyone can view this in the Rainforest Biome section of the dome and it will have plenty of space to grow and eventually flower. Probably one for the grandkids however.

I will update on this in the coming years. There is also a bigger specimen at Kew Gardens, which Fox Palms has posted previously. So there are a couple growing here in the UK.

I went to Leu Gardens with my parents and took a few Tahina pictures.  This is a pair of them flanking a Bismarckia:

@Cindy Adair Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) is listing Tahina spectabilis to be present at 25 botanical gardens. I did not see a way see the names of the gardens, though.  Maybe there is a BGCI member with special access powers on here, maybe @MaryLock 🙂 that has that ability to do that search?

Sorry, I have no access to BGCI. I could only count the botanical gardens described in this topic.

Maybe someone on PT does have access to BGCI and could see the source of their data.

There are 2 Tahina in Mt Cootha Botanic gardens Brisbane, Queensland, Australia which were rescued from Darwon a few minths ago.

Another in Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney.

Another will be Wollongong botanic Gardens NSW in a few years

They look wonderful Colin!

The ongoing story of people all over the world working towards the common goal of conservation of this species sets an example of real importance.

Documenting on PalmTalk is inspirational.

Thank you!
