Free 10 HP shredder

The shredder pictured below I’ve had since 2003.

It’s been a while since I’ve needed to use it, and it’s time to rehome her.

”Ellyn” was just the thing when my half acre was full of dicot trees and shrubs that needed removal and disposal. Alas Ellyn isn’t as good with palm parts..

It’s not .running at the moment but if you’re reasonably handy with small engines a good deal, especially if you’re clearing a parcel of dicots to plant palms.

shoot me a PM if interested

palmy love to you all

So just gotta ask why aren't these good for palm parts. I have one in storage and just figured it would do the trick for old palm debris.... apparently not?

Palms are typically too fibrous and it will cause issues.  Typically the leafs/fronds wrap around the drum/disc and jam the system. Only some of the "big boy" chippers like the Brush Bandit 95XP can take palms.

Shredder got recycled.

This one did surprisingly well on palm parts, but instead of making chips, it made this hippie-gorilla hair that was hard to get rid of, easier to just toss or burn the fronds as they were.  Which is why I couldn't recommend it for that kind of thing.

And, forget about palm trunks!
