Hi Konstantinos,

I would be interested in all three types as well. Shipment to Germany. Let me know if I should send you the address by PM.

Thanks

Eckhard

Just because they fit perfectly in to this thread: pictures of hybrids from those or similar crosses; reclinata x roebelenii:

loureiroi x theophrasti, I don't expect from  a hybrid with dactylifera instead of theo to have a distant looking.

Θα σου στείλω. Άμα θες μου λες και το μέρος (Νομο) και το κλίμα, για να κάνω μια πρόβλεψη αν μπορούν να ευδοκιμησουν.

Sad news for everyone, who has declared an interest also in the loureiroi x dactylifera seed. This afternoon I have opened up the storage bag to discover that an infestation of seed borers was widespread.

So I thought it a wise move to discard all seeds from this crossing. Fortunately seeds of the rest two kinds seem so far entirely healthy, which was also verified through dissection of a seed sample. If some or all of you are still interested in the rest seeds, please send to me a PM.  Again my apologies.

Today I have mailed envelopes with seeds to all persons having declared an interest. To be noticed please that I have put in the same bag seeds of both crosses. They are however extremely easy to be told apart as is illustrated in the following pictures. Seeds from the loureiroi mother are bigger, gray in color and more ovoid, while seeds from reclinata mother are smaller, light brown and  more oblong or wedge shaped.

Hi Konstantinos,  No luck as yet after 3 weeks - still hopeful!  :)  Hope to hear success from others here soon.

Hi Konstantinos,

Phoenix loureiroi x roebelenii  did germinate already while the others immediately started to mold. I now try them in water.

Here seeds of this cross germinate naturally and seedlings are removed as weeds.
