Dypsis poivreana

Planted these out a couple of years ago and although I thought they were an attractive little palm, didn't pay a significant amount of attention to them.

Hilo Jason was over a couple of days ago and on one of our grand tours, we stopped and took a good look at this little palm. Never realized how colorful the thin stem was and the contrast with the deep green, thick, entire, lobed leaves. Starting to lightly clump and seed too.

Don't know how successful these would be in California, but it would be a nice palm for a small space or area.

That’s a unique little palm. How big do they grow once fully mature?

They stay pretty small, max height is around 80 cm, or a bit less than 3'. Should have picked up several more.
