9°C at almost 2 p.m.. 30% relative humidity. Again an extremely sunny day. Yesterday we already had almost 10 hours of sunshine. Last night's low in my garden was -2.3°C warming up very quickly. Almost -5°C at the airport weather station. As I only recently found out there are actually more official weather stations in my city that haven't been operating for so long. Last night I went to check out temperature differences and it really shows how much colder it is at the airport. It's not only outside of the UHI but also a cold spot. As you can see in the city centre it was still 0.1°C while at the airport (Flughafen) -4°C! But not only that! -4°C at Flughafen but 0.0°C at the fairground (Messe). As you can see from the coordinates that Flughafen and Messe are not far away from eachother, but the fairground (Messe) is already inside the UHI and close to the Rhine river. Mind you THESE ARE ALL OFFICIAL STATIONS! No amateur sensors next to a wall or something. As I've always measured much warmer temperatures than at the airport it's now nice to see that there are at least some official proofs for what I experience. The southern parts of the city also seem to be warmer mostly than the North and the city centre. Sadly there are no records available for the other stations yet. Neither are they embedded in any weather site or app. This is from the only accsess. Only showing current temperatures once an hour:

        City centre                         Airport                             Fairground

Well it got a lot colder than I hoped last night. Down to -5.4C / 22F in my frost trap of a location. I’m sick of living in this spot. Also for context, last night's low temperature was colder than anything I experienced during the 16/17, the 18/19 and 20/21 winters.

The afterburners were put on again today, but not as effectively as Monday. Still about 25-30F of daytime recovery eventually under the clear, sunny skies with a max of +8.7C / 47F here this afternoon.

It felt quite pleasant in the sun today now that it has got stronger/intensified again. I noticed the walls and asphalt were finally warm to the touch again here, despite it being on the cool side today. Spring is right around the corner it seems. This week is probably the last wintery spell, I hope, since it has been a bad winter.

Spring and it's bi-polar personality are approaching. High of 62°F today with winds over 50mph. Lows close to freezing tonite. Low tomorrow night at 23°F. Then warming again in the next few days. No complaints. Any time there's no snow on the ground and it's above freezing here in Feb. It's pretty good.

What attributed to the high temp weather is the lack of humidity, hence, for commiefornia, Santa Ana winds.  However normal for February.

Bit of a change for me today, I'm heading out to the Abrolhos Islands for a week, just off the coast here north of Perth. The weather is much cooler and less variable,  going for a top of 23c with an overnight minimum of 22c.

Currently 74F and just started raining again.  You can tell where the squall line is at by looking at the temperatures from Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater to here.  C'mon early spring!

Been a pretty consistent "idea" in the longer term forecasts we might see one last round of better winter season rain snow chances and decent  cool down.

Sure enough. One more brief dip with mild rain chances on either side.

Yep.. looks like we're in for a roller coaster ride this week.. Maybe into next week.

While waking up to low 30s once or twice isn't all that unheard of for Feb. ( 4 mornings below 35F last year, per Accuweather data ),  Suggestion of some wet flakes might be, if it happens. Don't think it will, but, it's been a weird winter so far, so...

9°C at 10:30 p.m.. Currently we have dry and sunny high pressure weather. The polar vortex is about to collapse and a change of winds around the pole towards the West is predicted. Let's hope that doesn't mean another cold spell THIS LATE.

Chilly start / middle of the new week on the way shortly.  Still that nagging ...and extremely slim..  chance for a few flakes in the forecast for late Tuesday night here, but again, doubt we'll see anything at this elevation.  Should be at least a fleeting dusting of snow on local peaks above 2,500-3,000ft though. same idea down in Tucson, at least as things stand right now.

Seeing what lies beyond, not all that concerned about the 33-31F on tap for right at dawn on Thursday morning either.  We'll see how -what is left of the month- looks like after Thursday.

14C / 57F at 3pm with strong spring-like sunshine. Not a cloud in the sky again today, although that will give way to a slight radiation frost tonight. That has been the theme of this winter - big diurnal swings.

I have only recorded trace amounts of rain this month so far and nothing for well over 2 weeks now. It seems the dry season is already beginning to rear its head a month earlier than recent years. Usually it runs from  about March until early October.

Here as well. If it's not raining a significant amount in the upcoming two weeks it might become the driest February on record. There is a storm coming towards the weekend it might hit us here in the West of Europe but it's still unclear.

I’m pretty sure you guys have experienced your warmest winter on record over there by some considerable distance. Germany and Poland have been exceptionally mild. It reminds me of the 2019 winter over here when we had 21C / 70F in mid-late February and central London had an absolute winter minimum of like 2C / 36F.

66F...Warm in Texas at 6 AM this morning, an hour before sunrise. Interesting set up right now with the rest of the south/FL quite cool while everything west and south of about Houston is getting roaring onshore Gulf flow.  Temps have actually risen steadily since midnight (as much as +6-7F in Houston).

Yes with the exception of some cold spells. I also have to update my temperature high for yesterday. 16°C measured at a weather station. But in my garden and a local weather station it was almost 18°C something around 17.8 or .9°C. I did my big spring pruning today. You can forget that it's only mid February. But there is a tendency for spring to start earlier than it used to do. The mildest areas have been East Germany and Poland imo. Not because they had the highest temperatures but because they have usually way colder winters than we do have here in the west.

61F /16C in Central KY today in the middle of what is usually the worst Month during the Winter here. Tomorrow is supposed to go up to 74F /23C.  But weather here never stays the same for too long during this time of the year. dropping down to the 40s as a high over the weekend and lows in the 20s. And then it warms up again. Worst month of all. So close to spring. And it's trying to tempt you to let your guard down.

Max of 17c/62.6f in London with 49% humidity. There seemed to be a huge difference between central London and the rest of the city because the fog here cleared early which allowed for solar heating all day whilst elsewhere the fog didn't clear untill midday. It was very sunny all day, the UV was a 2.

7.3°C at 10:30 p.m.. Today's high was 16.8°C a bit cooler than yesterday but yet another sunny day from sunrise to sunset. Spent most of my day in the garden today, pruning many MANY plants got 3 big bags (tonne bags) full of lop. also cut down a Eucalyptus cordata multi trunk to a single one. Tried to minimise the base as best as I can. That was tedious! Prediction for tomorrow is similar. At the weekend a storm might come. Not sure yet. Would be the first real amount of rain this month.

One of those raw and drizzly days in the desert as the next storm roars through the state..

As it says, somehow we managed to hit 59F despite being cloudy all day,  passing sprinkles / brief showers, and constant 20+mph winds most of the day.  Compared to areas west and northwest of the valley, not much dust getting kicked up locally, though that might change -briefly- as the cold front plows through the area over the next few hours when wind gusts could approach 40-50 ( ..or higher, up in the mountains east and south of town) before quickly dropping off as the front heads east.  Flake chances have been removed from the valley, though a few foothill areas above 2Kft north and east of town may see some flakes.

407412949_Screenshot2023-02-14at18-06-44ChandlerAZ10-DayWeatherForecastWeatherUnderground.png.c13b4b67c705ebea8e865b36e512ec18.png

Chilly, but sunny tomorrow ( maybe we'll get lucky and exceed the forecast high of 55-58F )  Right now, suggested low for tomorrow night is hanging in the same 33-31F range suggested Sunday. Seeing that Dew Points are forecast to crash into the teens tomorrow / tomorrow night, and that rainfall that has fallen today, and may accompany the front looks pretty light, even if there are a few heavier showers that pass through, i don't think there will be much frost around Thursday morning locally.. Further outside of town, where temps could bottom out below 30F, more rain has fallen /may fall tonight, there could be some / more chance of damage.. Still, doesn't look all that bad though locally.

Tucson will see upper / mid 20s across most areas, which will leave a mark, though i still don't think any damage seen will be anything unusual -in most areas-  Oddly, the Desert Museum, which is located just west of town -out in mainly undeveloped desert, may not drop below 30 (currently forecast), while the airport / air force base, both pretty much in town, may bottom out in the 27-24F range..

Frost / Freeze threat isn't reserved to AZ alone this time.. Pretty much everyone from the North Bay to San Diego / higher deserts, Fresno / Bakersfield may see a night or two near or below freezing over the next few days.  Overall, not that unusual, though a little late in the season for Phoenix/ nearby areas..

Roller coaster ride continues as we warm back to normal/ close to it by the weekend.. We'll see if we actually hit the suggested 76F on Saturday.. We'll also see if temps stay mild as we start next week. That storm may completely miss AZ, taking a deter through Sonora, or bring a few more showers to some parts of central / southern AZ.

Fyi, for anyone who saw it, yes, lol ..Like Tucson, Las Vegas does occasionally get light snow / flurries in the winter.. Nothing all that unusual..

16C / 61F at 2pm here and lovely clear sunny skies. I had a light radiation frost again last night due the clear skies, but that should be the last for a while now. It has been balls to the wall sunshine for weeks now pretty much and things are drying out badly again here ahead of spring.

Many places are only on 1mm / 0.03 inches of rain for the past 4-5 weeks now. I make it 0.8mm / 0.02 inches here since mid-Jan. Some non-official Met stations appear to have had nothing whatsoever for about a month now.

Quite a bit of dust/sand coming up from the Sahara as well, which was very noticeable at sunset yesterday and at sunrise this morning. I am noticing sand deposits on a lot of the cars as well.

The fires are going to be starting up again in about a month or so at this rate. As soon as we start getting some proper warm days again. Groundwater levels are still depleted from last years drought and vegetation like gorse especially dries out very quickly, unable to resist the climatic changes that we are seeing i.e. erratic, unreliable rainfall and higher temperatures.

A cool, but tolerable ..in the sun, when the wind isn't blowing.. 55F at 2:37pm after a surprisingly stormy and chilly Tuesday night..  Missed out on the Hail that accumulated in some areas west of Phoenix, but had plenty of lightning -by winter standards- and wind as the front blew through last night.  Though it only bottomed out at 35F last night here, some ice in puddles this morning in shady spots open to the sky.  Plenty of snow capping peaks east of town today as well.

Cold night on the way, ( Local forecasts still hanging in the 33-31F range ) before things moderate -again- starting tomorrow..

As anticipated, as the front continued east / south, plenty of flakes flew around Tucson late last night. As usual, most of the time they see the white stuff, just some minor, early am to no accumulation in most areas.

Looking further out, while i decided not to post them, most areas across Cen. / S. Cal. were in the same ballpark as lows seen here / in Tucson..  Warmest spots were, of course, around S. Cal.. Orange Co. esp. where many areas closer to the coast were sitting in the 40s.. Coolest spots were the usual, lowest lying valleys where some spots around / between Paso Robles and Hollister / Gilroy bottomed out in the 20s. Central Valley showed a similar temp range as well. No real surprises, just chilly, for everyone this morning lol.. .
