Virginia Sabal Palmetto Seedlings Update

Here are my Sabal palmetto seedlings that I threw all over my garden from a seed stalk off of a palmetto in North Carolina about two years ago. They survived the first winter (a pretty bad one). Let's see how long these can keep going.

Time to get an app to reduce picture file sizes so I don't have to keep posting one picture per post. But there they are. There are also some in other spots around the yard.

I got a S. palmetto Mocksville last fall because I'm interested in mutant Sabals. It is totally hardy here, of course. And it's going palmate less than a year later. Well worth trying. Make sure your ivy & weeds don't choke out those tiny Sabals. They need every moment of summer sun.
