Palms on the way to Yosemite

I travel to and from Yosemite quite often, and I always see these palms at a Mexican restaurant, but I've never made it a point to snap any photos until yesterday. These are in Oakhurst - actually a bit above Oakhurst, at around 3000 feet from sea level and only 13 miles from the entrance to Yosemite National Park and the groves of Giant Sequoias. Oakhust is listed as including zones 6b, 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 9a and 9b. I'm not exactly sure what the distribution of each zone is or which zone these palms are growing in, but Oakhurst gets a lot of snow each year. Hope you enjoy!

Lots of washingtonia, chamaerops, trachycarpus, a butia or two, and several great-looking braheas.

This area experienced a large fire several years ago so the tall pines that once dominated the landscape are all gone. Itll be several decades before they become the dominant plant again.
