Frankies are quite hardy to moisture and shade, all different from the armata seedlings.

I've found that to be true as well.

I came up with the idea to put my seeds Dypsis lanceolata on a cable set-top box, because from below he heats and actually from the inside the seeds a sweat :) E08Nn0e.jpg

1519234196004-755284217.thumb.jpg.c0a552The majority of mine seem fine. After cleaning they sank like pebbles into the water to soak. Just have to wait to see what happens. May just take a bit more time and patience. " Good things come to those that wait" Not giving up on them. The embryo looks fine to me. Much appreciation to Dooms Dave for the seeds. Every seed is a new experience.

Did they sink?

Even if they didn't, I'd plant them anyway. I cleaned them, but some got a bit cleaner than others.

I always give the seeds that don't sink a little extra time in the soaking water, usually I find that if they don't sink right away, when I  do a  daily water change they do. I'll sow all of them anyway, never know.

I don't make no cleaning them any way, that's part if the enjoyment. Thanks again Dave. I've learned alot reading your posts.

The most recent batch of Lancie seeds were cleaned; the previous batches were all moldy, but they still grew.

Sometimes, a bit of the old fruit still sticks, and they tend to float.

Plant anyway, and wait.

If they don't sprout, there's more.

Good an alla' ya!

Remember, these plants are a bit on the fragile side, compared with Chamadorea radicalis. But they're really pretty, a nice dark green, slender, nice for indoors.
