Bad BAD HEAT

All those in CA understand what I'm going through...  This week 112, 113, 114, over night lows upper 80s, recorded the highest overnight low in history @ 90 on Monday night and matched it on Tuesday.  My plants are dying, even with daily drenchings...  Tree ferns, in the shade fried, I mean brown-Fried, dried up and dead.  The grass is loving it.  Tropicals, hating it...

Anyone else in weather trouble???

Can someone post a picture of snow, just to make me feel cooler?

Visalia, CA

Zone 9B

Hot Summers - Annual average 40+ days of 100+ degrees (no rain from April/May to October/November)

Freezes too - winter lows in high 20s

Oh yeah and Bad Air (inbetween cities with #1 and #2 ranked bad air in the nation - Fresno and Bakersfield)

WE NEED MORE TREES

I love that picture! The best of both worlds. Is that a coconut? Is it alive now? Keep em coming!

Is global warming to blame, seriously? Imagine how it would be like 10 years from now. Maybe less frost, a zone higher but oh boy our worries are going to shift to summer season rather than winter! My deepest symphaties to all of you slow-cooking in the west... :(
