I am super excited to have finally spouted my first Sabal uresana. This is the first "exotic" Sabal that I have been able to sprout; the only other ones I have sprouted were Sabal palmetto and Sabal minor.  Any advice you guys can give me to ensure it makes it to adulthood would be much appreciated. Thanks.

That root is burnt on the end and not very long at all for having one leaf. You need to get it in a pot before the seedling runs out of energy from the seed. By the second leaf the seed is empty.

Awesome! Sabal uresana is HIGH on my list of palms to grow. Where'd you get the seeds?

Opal92,

I got them from seedman.com.

TexasColdHardyPalms,

Thanks.  Yeah, I think it got burnt from the heat pad.  I was transplanting it to a pot when I took the pic; I hope it makes it.
