The Argintine ants at Gary's place are the most aggressive that I have ever encountered.  While picking out some palms in his shade house, I was repeatedly attacked and biten by the little suckers.

Too bad the seeds on the bizzie are not good.  I can't believe nobody posted the monster J. Chilenisis yet!  It's a must see palm.

Two things Paul. What does your sign on name mean? Also did you get any pictures of his Ptychosperma's?

Nice pics Paul. On your original can you make out the species of Sabal? I can read Sabal, but the rest is fuzz. Of course I'm wondering if it's a relative of the one I snagged there.

I'll try working on my standing-next-to-palm poses. There must be an art to it, which in my case might be hiding behind it. I'm sure that technique would have improved the Jubaea shot. Next time I'm wearing my Jeff Searle hat.

Gary has the best examples of my favorite palms that I've ever seen. I might have to swing by again tomorrow.

Paul - These pictures are amazing in their colour, clarity.. Really beautiful. Especially that Bizzie. Those photos remind me of why it is still my favorite palm. But that Sabal is real nice too. Really great stuff! Keep it comin'! :D

Oh yeah - how old do you think that Sabal is?

That Hyphaene in that shot looks like a Nanny to me, but I could be wrong. The fuzz in the petioles made me hmmmmm. And Niiiiiiiiiice( and another Borat reference) references to both Borat and Monty Python. I think we'd get along very well.
