Color depends on a lot of factors - soil, temp, sun, humidity, watering, mold on stem, combined with a particular genetic variation, etc. Kind of like a croton.... or a box of chocolates. Why not plant it in the ground and create an acidic environment. I'll eagerly await your next revolutionary discovery...
