I have a small ravenea Xerophila that has been in the ground for about 1 year. I did not see any growth so I marked the spear and it did not move for about six months. I was removing some dead seedlings after our recent cold. I noticed this palm was dead and I went to pull it out and the top ripped off from the heal. I noticed some green under it and it looks like it has a new offshoot, or maybe 3. I have a d. Decipiens that did this and is still growing. Are these known to do this? Mayb
