A little tinkle of rain in So-Cal

Yesterday I came home to find that it had rained while I was away. Not a lot, alas, but rain nevertheless, which fell during the night.

The sky was a proper overcast for January, temps in the mid-60s F for a high.

This is, of course, far far from being anything like adequate. I talked to my father and brother in Ohio, and they told me their cold spell is finally loosening its grip, and I note that Atlanta is thawing, too.

Gonna do another rain dance, wash the car, paint silk with watercolors in the open . . .

How about the rest of you? Any rain?

We didn't get much more than you guys. But the forecasts are honing in on the next one to be focused onto the Santa Cruz Mountains and Monterey County, still only 0.75" is the most optimistic number.

OK clouds, time to lay off the cheese and chocolate, maybe eat some prunes!

We got .25" last night. Enough to turn off the irrigation for a week (or two if it stays cold)
