On the way to Khao Yai - wind beneath my wings

Recommended Posts

Here's an array of pics of our transportation style to Khao Yai national park, we didn't see many diff palms, saw a lot of leeches, and it rained, but the transport and people were bloody great, I loved the back of the ute travelling, we transferred from the big Volvo bus to these open back trucks/utes. I along with some others spied a great looking Licuala in some low jungle near the side of the road, as we sped along (no stopping).

At the park centre where we gathered and prepared for our walk, some of the local fauna hung about quite relaxed.

On our return we spotted a monkey family, monkeying about. The drivers stopped for us to take some pics, much appreciated, this was my first ever glimpse of monkeys in the wild..............Hope others have some pics to share

The monkeys were great, our driver stopped a few times so we could see them and one tried to climb into the truck with us, nice pics Wal

Love the shots of the monkeys Wal, our driver did not stop so all we saw was just a glimpse of them as we zoomed by.

The ride in the back of those modified pick-ups was invigorating to say the least. It was fun though.

Yeah, our driver didn't stop either...she was on a real mission to get us back to the buses...we were hanging on for our lives on some corners! All part of the experience though...

Mahalo for sharing the photos - after that day tour, many monkeys were lining the roadside to bid us farewell as our truck sped down the hill...
