Firefox 15 and Rich Text Editor

I'm having an issue with the IP Board software Rich Text Editor and Firefox 15. The editor selections are grayed out (see image). I searched Google and saw that IP Board has released patches in the past to fix similar issues (apparently the RTE is a bit buggy), and was wondering if there are any patches available to fix this issue.

Don't know. I can check but before I initiate any patch I would first have to verify that all mods and add-ons we are using (chat, gallery, etc) are at a version that would accept any update that would include a Firefox patch. In other words, I usually wait a month or two for other guinea pigs to go first, to be sure that any patches won't end up hosing some other feature. I doubt if I will have time in the near future to research and initiate any such update. But I'll do a quick inquiry of the support forum to see if anyone has any ideas. It may be something else, like a setting in Firefox 15

Edit: See post below. We will need to verify that this is not just an issue with your setup before I do any research. Anyone else have any info?

Thanks to those of you who help make this a fun and friendly forum.

Hmmmmmm - No problem with Firefox 15.0.1 on my laptop.

Hmmmm...interesting. I disabled all add-ons and plug-ins and tested before posting, and still saw the same behavior. I seached google for info and that's when I found posts regarding ip board patches to fix earlier versions. I will keep digging around to see what I can find.

Thanks for the additional info.

So...seems the little button (the one that, if you look closely, you can see is NOT grayed out) that's just to the right of the red arrow in the original screen capture above toggles the "editing mode." I must have inadvertently clicked it at some point, disabling the controls. Apparently I inadvertently clicked it again and now the controls are no longer grayed out. Click, disable. Click, enable. May be useful information for others at some point.

("Rich Text Editor Disabled" might now be a more appropriate title for this thread.)

Thanks, at any rate, for the quick response.

No problem - I wish everyone could solve their own problems. :) That is good info to know - I'm sure it will happen again to someone at some point.
