Does anyone know what type of cold temperatures (in degrees Celcius or Fahrenheit) an Attalea Rostrata can tolerate without defoliating? I am willing to tolerate some minor bronzing in winter, but not defoliation. I saw an old post on this forum describing palm damage during the historic 1989 freeze in Orlando, Florida, USA. Apparently, Attalea Rostrata "survived". It was not clear to me whether it survived wtih flying colours or barely survived and defoliated entirely. I would be grateful to receive any information concerning Attalea Rostrata survivals, the lowest temperature experienced, and the degree of damage, if any.
