Chamaedorea Elegans - going through some changes

Recommended Posts

I purchased this Parlor Palm (Chamaedorea Elegans)to be an indoors palm in my entryway Fall 2011. 3 growths are emerging from this double palm with the oldest showing signs of little yellow round...are they developing flowers? Do they become seeds? Anyone have pictures of what I should expect to see? Thank you for your help. Scott

Yep, they're flower buds, which means your plant is happy!

Cham. elegans are dioecious, which means males and females are on separate plants. You may have two plants, and if they're male and female, you may get seed . . .

Have a cigar! (Don't mind if I do . . . . hmmm, ahhhh)
