Robbin,

There was an article in the Sun Sentinel newspaper the other day, that was saying that for us here in South Florida, this also has been the second warmest winter in the last 30 years.

And you're right, if this keeps up in your area, you may be able to grow coconuts before long.  :D

It has truly been an amazingly warm eastern winter thus far.  Even if the cold kicks in later, the winter duration has been shortened dramatically.

That's true, Ray.... I just hope we don't have to pay for it with a cold, damp spring (well, at least in my area).

We are also expected to have the warmest since records began in 1674 or something.  I'm just waiting for the MET Office to do their final summary for December and the year, to confirm that.  We did have a cold spell in the 3rd week of December, but I doubt it would have changed things that much, because it is the warmest by far this year.  Very strange after the first three months of 2006 was the coldest start to a year for 10-15 years, it really shows how incredibly warm the rest of the year was.  Despite this, I have still been cold for the past six months, I so need to move to Singapore.
