The airport in Tampa has recorded just shy of 57 inches (1448 mm).  What's your local rain tally for the year?

Hey Ray,

I don't know what the total is for my area, but this time next year, I should have an answer for you. I got a rain guage for a Christmas present.  :D  I think being inland from Fort Lauderdale, we recieve more rain than what they record at the airport there. So I'll see.

I am not sure of my exact tally (as I had some glitches with my rain gauge this summer), but it was far far more than the official airport reading.  It had to be north of 75" and in all liklihood more.

San Antonio Airport was around 22 inches for the year (they haven't updated the stats for yesterdays rain yet).  My house proper probably got in the neighborhood of 24-25 inches.  Average is about 32 inches for San antonio, so we were still way down on rain this year.

According to the NWS here in San Diego, we got 6 inches of rain in 2006. Not enough to wet a whistle. Not looking good here in January so far either.

I have recorded around 6.4 inches in orinda. I believe 3 or 4 inches in San francisco this season. Computing the ammount of rain here this year is somewhat hard. In california its the rainy season, and thats how we add up. Last year in SF there was some 30 inches. In orinda, one of the wettest places in the east bay, picked up around 40 inches. This year I would have to make a guess of perhaps 25 inches. Perhpas there is a site that totals up the ammount of rain in 1 year?

I do have a rain guage, I never have computed the actual rain ammounts for the year but the season. Just got it this summer along with all the 4 stations that I put around the yard to tell me temps. Got it at costco. Works great.

Ok, good.  Now you need to make a new years resolution to write down the amount of rain each day it rains on a calendar and then enter the data into your computer.

I use MS Word and created a "table" to make my chart.
