December Thread

Recommended Posts

The UK MET Office finally completed their summary for December.  Average temperature for England 6.1°C/43°F, compared with the 71-00 average of 4.7°C/40.5°F.

2006 was, as expected, the hottest year on record with an average temperature of 10.6°C/51.1°F, which beat the previous record of 10.32°C/50.58°F quite easily.

Temperature records for 2006:

Hottest - July, September, Autumn (Fall) and year.

There were a few other months that were 2nd or 3rd hottest on record and many other sunshine and rainfall records broken.  What a great year.
