While I was at the fall garden show last weekend, I took a few minutes to wander around to take pictures. I am usually focused on our booth and forget to get pictures of other parts of the garden.

Kathryn, Great shots from a special spot. That Syagrus looking palm certainly has the trunk to suggest schizophylla but the leaf structure looks thin. Perhaps it is a hybrid?

In New Orleans, I have seen Queen Palms all over. I think Michael knows of alot of other marginal palms like Majesty's growing in other places around town. Between those Oaks, the tropical items look great. Thanks

This is labeled as Acrocomia but I think it is Syagrus schizophylla, which would explain why it is struggling.

Great photos Kathryn! Cool stuff for NOLA. I can tell you that the palm in your phtot is not a Syagrus Schizophyla(which is not armed and leaflets are different) But I can see how you would think it is. It does look like an Acrocromia though which are generally characterized as an armed queen palm.

Hi Kathryn, this Sabal look like a Sabal Mauritiiformis.

Is this Sabal green on the undersides? If so it looks to be S. yapa.

Hi osideterry, in my opinion the palm in your photo isn't a Nannorrhops, becose the remains of petioles of the palm in photo are different of the remains of petioles of the Nannorrhops.

Your palm looks too much like a some species of Brahea, but I don't know which.
