I drive by this ranch all the time as I go over to work on our business in Itacoatiara, 260 kms from Manaus.  This time I decided to stop and take a picture.  I think it has a great setting surrounded by forest, babaçu palms (Attaleas) with some nice royal palms in the yard.  The road is on a high crest at this point and looks down at the place.  You can also notice our winter weather pattern sky.  It seems the rainy season has started.  We get a few days like this and then 3 or 4 sunny ones.  It is nice to see the temperature go down a bit.

Thanks everyone.  If there is one color that predominates around here it is green.  Amazonia has been called the Green Hell, but I don´t see it that way.  To me it is the other way around, Green Heaven.
