Its hard to believe, but I would occasionally experience "palm overload" at the biennial, so I was looking for something different. After a while, I noticed there were lots of different "fungus" out there....

First, one of my Favorites...

I like these... as Ashton said when he saw the "one", its neat to see the 3 stages of growth, death of plant, fungus grows on dead plant, new plant grows on fungus!

Nice pictures. Around here they call them, orelha de pau, or tree ears. Fungi are a key element to rapid decomposition and recycling of nutrients back to the trees. The downside is when they start growing between your toes, or even worse between your legs.
