amazondk
Nice pictures Bill. The first one is a plant found a lot around here. It is wild passion fruit, called here maracuja do mato. You can make juice from the fruits just like the domestic variety. I just love those toucans. Did you see any flying around? They fly like their beak is dragging them down. dk Don Kittelson LIFE ON THE RIO NEGRO 03° 06' 07'' South 60° 01' 30'' West Altitude 92 Meters / 308 feet above sea level 1,500 kms / 932 miles to the mouth of the Amazon River Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil - A Cidade da Floresta Where the world´s largest Tropical Rainforest embraces the Greatest Rivers in the World. . bgl
Kim, Normally I avoid the words "cute" and "rodent" in the same sentence, but that rodent (a/k/a agouti) having his breakfast is actually kind of cute! Moose
I bet they would be great if marinated in "mojo" for two days prior to grilling. Trinidad Bob and I think we saw a family of them at INBioparque. They moved pretty quickly and we never got a chnace of a photo of them. Thanks for your pictures - it sparked another memory of the trip! Coral Gables, FL 8 miles North of Fairchild USDA Zone 10B
