From Bob's house, we drove over to Rick Stickland's house to see one of the biggest Dypsis sp. "Big Curly" in all of Southern Cal. What a beauty.

The massive size of this trunk was incredible. Also the collection of bromo's was pretty good as well.

Looking from the balcony of Bill's house, you can see parts of the ocean. But later this year, the view will be even better, because of these two Canarie's that are dieing.

Matty stopped over early in the morning on his way to LA.  I think he's trying to be one of the new "ranch hands" for Bill and he's being tested on a common palm. :D

On friday morning we left early and all met up at Gary's property. He said he has 6 acres, has many nice palms already established and with so much more room to expand. Here's Gary standing on the far left, Len, Bill and Ken.

A very happy Dypsis decipiens. It reminded me when I saw these planted in Madagascar with the large boulders and rolling hills. Hint,hint....plant lots more of these.Imagine what they would look like in 15-20 more years!

This was the one palm that I was looking forward to seeing when I arrived at Gary's. It's I think, the largest Ravenea xerophylla growing in So-Cal. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is probably close to the same age as mine growing for me. I hope he plants many more of this one as well, because it's a "WOW" palm. :)

Ken and the BIG rock.....

Ken and I was wondering as we walked around, that it would be nice to have some of these big boulders back at home in our landscapes. Very expensive I would imagine.

This guy's got some incredible stuff growing up here. For those of you that have never been up here before, it's really worthwhile going to.
