Michael--

Great pics.

Interesting-looking Dictyospermas. Don't know if that's varietal, cultural, or?

SoCal and SoFla; zone varies by location.

Now all, I hope that I haven't bored you with MANY pictures of some rather common palms. But I do hope that you enjoyed the pictures and with that I'll leave you all with some pictures I took last winter...2006.

The moat at Fort hamilton. Lots of plants growing wild down there.

Michael, I enjoy all your photos! thanks for sharing these.'

Those stone walls are really cool. love the look.

Interesting how invasive those L. chinesis are.  your climate and wildlife must really like that species.

Luke,

The stone walls they make today are definitely different from what they used to make. Definitely much neater but less character if you ask me.

Yep the birds love the fruit and they seem to be in flower all year round so the Sabals don't stand a chance. They are literally everywhere!

Cheers,

Mike

Bo,

She certainly does! She is the one who actually got me addicted to plants which then led to my obsession with palm. It was kinda cool to see her naming off palms and she actually planted one of my Tahina seeds which I now call 'Diana' after her. I assure you that she is still a sane person when it comes to her love for palms. I can't say the same for myself!

Cheers,
