Local Horticultural show

The annual horticultural show here in Manila started this weekend and will continue on till next weekend.  Its not the largest plant show in teh world but its the best occassion to see a wide variety of collectibe; and unususal plants.

Not just palms but any plant you can think of.

These first shots are of plants in the show.  For some reason I didn't think to take pictures of the entire set up of displays.  Well that's something to do for next weekend I guess.

An unusual agave- at least for us  over here.

Aloe Lineata.  There aren't a lot of aloe varieties available here locally.

I'd love to be able to grow some tree aloes but alas there are none to be found.

Ther are other varieties too.  There are so many named varieties of this already and the differences between them are very slight that its confusing already.

Sometimes I think they just come up with new names just to come up with a perception of rarity
