Here's a few shots taken this morning I've only got

S. beginii var;  'Ode Island' planted, I love this 'sp'

a Very thick leaflets, The 1st pic, A shot of the whole

palm,

Pic 2, A little closer, See how she only ever splits Once.

Pic 3 The last of the seed just finished riping.

pic 4 Another view, Trunk etc.

I'll get pic's of the other 'sp' I menitioned later, But for me

The 'sp' pictured is the best of all.

Thats  the one Clayton is growing & what you would

have got for sure,

The total height from Base to tip of leaf is about 7mtrs

maybe a little more , not by much.

It's flowered  four times This is the 2nd set, well whats

left on now,Picked some near the end of the week.

Ooops...

The clumping palms in post # 122 are actually Bactris maraja and not Pinanga coronata, sorry.

Liana has e-mailed me also and told me that the Phoenix described as rupicola is actually reclinata, she thinks.

Thanks for the Siphokentia pictures Mikey...I`m crazy about the new seedling I received from Liana.

Happ: Yes it gets much drier here in summer and I guess that in eastern Sergipe too. The whole coastal region of Northeast Brazil gets a lot of rain concentrated around mid year, as we`ve been part of the Atlantic forest in the past.
