Great photo's everyone.  I've just got back from Florida and been going through my photo's.  I think I may have some to add, but it will be a while, I have loads to go through and a lot to do before posting them.

Dave your photo's are improving greatly, you're obviously getting the hang of the zoom and the new camera in general.

Dear Angela  :)

how are you and your stills are great ! and thanks for reminding me of that.but for one month or so iam experiencing severe neck & shoulder pain and at times slight numbness of my hand and feet ?

It all started when i trimmed our phoenix here, one thorn went straight into my palm area.though it did not bleed much, nor did it pain for more than 2 days..later again while trimming our boganvilla,i tread on a thorny branch and the thorn went straight into my foot.and though i consulted the Doc.he gave me some antisepticts.but after a week these symptoms started..

on recent consultation with the doc.he told a strange name........syndrome.this was due to excess of hours before the computer monitor...And advised me not to touch the comp' for a month at least.but after becoming a net addict..its bit difficult..but i have reduced interacting in all the threads.those topics that i like or intreasted i visit only those !

And as you have said iam now in number 2 spot in top posters...i do not have the slightest regreats, since the first position is held by one of my very close & respected friend Dave from SoCal.And iam very comfortable with that ! :)

Lots of love to you,

Kris  :)

love conquers all..

As I did some playing with the zoom on my camera, while I was in Florida, I thought I would post some pictures here. At the moment I have just reduced all of my photo's from 2560 x 1920 down to 640 x 480, but obviously with some cropping could produce much closer more detailed pictures. Anyway, here goes.

One last example of what could be achieved, using one of the previous images, with a little selective cropping. I have kept this image quite large 1600 x 1200 to maintain detail.

You go, Corey!

Great pictures, especially the manatees.

I never could find any in water clear enough to get a good shot . .

That's definitely the advantage of seeing them in captivity, Sea World was worth the visit for the Manatees alone. Whilst I would have preferred to see them in their natural habitat, I would neven have been able to get photo's as clear or close up, even with the zoom.
