Tad, I finally got the time to go through this massive thread.  I'm speachless!  Awesome operation you have.  Thanks for all the hard work posting all this.  I have a B. decumbens question:  Do they start below  ground and then rise up and crawl?  I don't have to plant these things abnormally high do I?

What a beautiful place, the palms and other plantings are so lush and tropical. Nice variety too. Must take a lot of water to keep it all green, you on well water?

Matty these are sitting on top, in real life the come up from below, I have quit trying to dig them up because they are always lower than you think, but on some of the biiiiiggggg ones we moved in country it seems they snake along the ground and the tail end sluffs of after, eons i suppose, they are a strange palm, I hope to be able to get about 4 or 6 and plant them in a large raised bed close together to get a seed project going, but they are expen$ive!

One last question:  Will your work crew be planting the palms when they reach their destination, or will someone else take care of that end of the opperation? I hope a good landscape architect has carefully planned where the palms will go and holes already dug. I'd hate for those babys to be sitting around for awhile and drying out.

One of the worst mistakes most palm people make is that they have no master plan, and it ends up looking like a hodge podge instead of a well planned palm garden with proper spacing and a nice design.

So, not San Angelo? Then then they must be headed north east.....How about a hint? I'm sure we all would like to see the results.

Robbin, those trees lost thier heads due to a fire about 10 years ago.

Senor Douglas, my "PERSONAL" crew will not be doing the install, but I will be overseeing the installation,they will be unloaded, set in the shade,watered,and we will start planting them right away! My personal crew will be digging up 100 palms for an order starting sunday, and shipping out monday night.

I think Tad has gone far enough. First I'm a he/she and now I'm sure I dont resemble the photo posted! Seriously I have done more watching on this forum than participating but have learned alot from all of you and met Palmo in the process. I bought a 20 acre piece of property just north of Houston in East Texas last year. We have cleared much of the undergrowth and left the choice hardwoods and pine, installed a 1 acre pond and now are ready for phase 2 which is creating a natural setting for cold hardy palms, cycads, and gingers. The material Tad has chosen looks awesome and I cant wait to see this come together. We will chronicle it and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I know I will.
