Tyrone 2,768 Report post Posted April 4, 2008 It's cooling down here too now. We got 40mm of rain on Monday from Ex TC Pancho, and it's been cooler since. Today reached 30C and we're expecting more rain on and off for next few days, but summer has well and truly left us now. But things are still growing and that's what matters. regards Tyrone
eastern.nurseries 2 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 It has started to cool down here as well, but we are still getting the odd shower or two. Time to head north for a barra or two me thinks.
ariscott 49 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 Catching the run-off, are you? Where do you usually go? Regards, Ari
Tyrone 2,768 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 We've had 73mm today so far and rain on and off forecast for the next few days. Combine that with the 40mm on Monday and that's 113mm. The average for April is 43mm. It was real heavy persistent tropical rain today. Nice and humid with 20C dewpoints. Palms should love it. eastern.nurseries 2 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 Ari, Yes the run off from the wet season is great fishing. I love Cape York, it is so isolated. Here is a pic from December when I fished the Archer and Love rivers near Aurukun.
