It's cooling down here too now. We got 40mm of rain on Monday from Ex TC Pancho, and it's been cooler since. Today reached 30C and we're expecting more rain on and off for next few days, but summer has well and truly left us now. But things are still growing and that's what matters.

It has started to cool down here as well, but we are still getting the odd shower or two. Time to head north for a barra or two me thinks.

We've had 73mm today so far and rain on and off forecast for the next few days. Combine that with the 40mm on Monday and that's 113mm. The average for April is 43mm. It was real heavy persistent tropical rain today. Nice and humid with 20C dewpoints. Palms should love it.

Ari, Yes the run off from the wet season is great fishing. I love Cape York, it is so isolated. Here is a pic from December when I fished the Archer and Love rivers near Aurukun.fishing07.jpg

Hopefully I'll get there soon, I'd like to fish the East Alligator river. Gotta sell more plants first
