      This has been one of the many recent name changes that have been made. The old name was Pytchosperma ledermanniana. Not a super rare palm, but not real common either. Mine is about half the size as Bo's.  The flower colors really jump out at you in that picture.

Bo can you show Gene a photo of a cleaned seed of this species, as it’s more like a Ptychococcus seed, also this species does not seem to like the cold and only grows well in the tropics as I have lost quite a few over the years through our cold winters.
