Well I hadn't thought about Jackson Browne in, oh, about 20 years. You made me pull out his old vinyl. I remember really loving him in high school and college, he was the ultimate "romantic stoner vibe" for the girls.

But listening to him now, I just couldn't get involved. He's still way hot though with his sensitive brown eyes, LOL

I love th enew Avenged Sevenfold CD. Its just called "Avenged Sevenfold" Best tracks:

AC/DC, Ozzie, Gun'n Roses, Rush, Yes, Sabbath, Judas P, Scorpions, I could go on and on.  On the lighter side, "Take Me to the River" for sure, oh and little Def Leppard the early stuff.  Some Cheap Trick "I Want You to Want Me."  Sting.  Country when I am sad.  Progressive Jazz when I feel sophisticated.  Classical sometimes when I am really weird.  When I want to be southern, a little southern rock like Allman, Blackfoot, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet.  Southern and a bit kinky, certain ZZ Top stuff.  Bottomline, no telling what is in the que here, but I am a head banger at heart.  In the CD changer in my truck right now, AC/DC Razor's Edge, AC/DC Back in Black, ZZ Top Greatest Hits, American Indian, Clint Black Greatest Hits, and a Project Management Training CD.

PS - If you put on "Stairway to Heaven" or "Freebird", I will shoot you where you stand.   :D

Keith,

I was in getting some tat work done last Saturday and we were listening to Judas Priest. We got into a discussion about an interview Rob Halford gave a few years ago about being a member of an alternate sexual persuasion in the Heavy Metal scene and how a lot of people were apparently "surprised"  when they found out (well after Priest's heyday). My artist saw it, I didn't, but apparently he believed all along that everyone knew he wasn't straight because of the leather clothes and all the S and M gear he wore and carried on stage, and he never realized that the kids thought that was just a fashion statement. He was like, "I thought everyone KNEW, but they just thought it was a new cool way to DRESS!"

I love Judas Priest. I wish I could afford his old wardrobe, LOL.

I agree, Eric!  I am not usually attracted to their kind of music but I love their music!  Sort of like Pink Floyd - the only album I like is "Dark Side of the Moon".  I guess it goes back to my flower child days and all the protest songs.

"Bullroarer" is in my top 5 Oils songs.

I heard a new song by David Gray recently called "Destroyer", damn fine tune imo.

Just have to say after hearing the incredible voice and unique talent of Nellie Mckay on an radio interview with Terri Gross of the program NPR's "Fresh Air" (WHYY Philadelphia), I did something really unusual, I went out and bought (well via itunes lol) all three of her albums.  I am LOVING it!!!  I had never heard of her before.

She's great.  Most favourite songs thus far are "Change the World", "Sari", "Inner Peace", and a very funny song, "Mother of Pearl"

She combines vaudville, broadway, rap, and jazz all into very clever lyrics, great sounds.... often with a tongue-in-cheek manner and a sweet soft voice, disguised under her pretty blonde facade.

Ah Ray, you mean to tell us that these songs are new to you ? This is not the same post from last year. The idea was to list new stuff so that perhaps others (me for instance) could check it out

Here, here's what I said in the first post

"So what's some music you've heard lately you like, that's at least new to you ?"

You okay man ?
