One of my favorite punk bands is Rise Against!

They are all vegans and are very politically active.

Their website has a number of links, one of which is to this site, The Animal Rescue Site.

Please consider taking just a few seconds of your time each and every day to visit this site (and its sister sites for Hunger, Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy and Rainforest) and participate in the "CLICK TO GIVE" program.

I took a look at the rainforest part.  I normally check out any information regarding the area I work and live in.  The Associations that  sponsor  all seem to be reputable from what I know.  But, in our area buying forest land is not really going to do much to things for the most part.  The area is so big and so little land is for sale in any large parcel that it would not impact much.  This of course would be different in a small country.  What will conserve our environment is sustainable development and forest management.  Personally I have not seen these organizations accomplish much here.  The whole situation is much more complex than what it is normally portrayed.  Their stuff does look nice though.  And, the only area that I have any knowledge about is the rainforest, which is where I live, and I love to be here.
