I'm saddened to hear that any animals have been killed or property damaged, but it's encouraging to hear that some homes doomed to the flames were not consumed.  I know many, many people affected by the fires in San Diego county and it's really hard for me to hear any of it.  I hope everyone is o.k. and that people, homes, pets, and gardens are spared.

Great to hear that you and your family are OK, Mr. Le Vine.

Been watching this on the news here and it looks like the disaster it is.

Best of luck with getting back on track.

Gary,

I'm just so glad that you and yours are safe. Regardless of the property outcome, you've clearly got many, many friends eager to help as things are sorted out.

I know too much about this, too.

One of hte heartaches of living in this otherwise wonderful place is the horror of fires.

Too many of them.  Too many. :(

I remember all the friends palms growers in California when watching the TV news. Everyhour theres breaking news in our local TV about the horror of the fire up there.- The images are really apocalipticaly sad.-

Theres never good when a palm friend is in trouble.-

Glad to know that "knew" people that one know from years in this "much" californian messge board is fine and safe, but sad for the ones that their homes, gardens and palms were burnt.-

Best wishes from Cordoba, Argentina to every palmaholic friend in California that was obligated to pass by this real disaster.-

Sincerely

Gaston Torres Vera
