Thinking of RLR. Anyone have one of these?

I have been looking for that type for a good while.  How grows it?

Do you have both red and yellow types of 'Spicata'?

Bob's last words on this forum:

"This is one of the best "threads" ever started on this site.

Thanks much for the wonderful info.

I'm planting a Burretiokentia hapala on Monday for International Plant a Palm for Bob Day.   Enc. of Cult. Palms says "When young, the leaf crown is beautiful up close."

Sounds like a good one in his honor!

I have grown both red and yellow. I may still have a red one but I sold my big one.

I think the seed came from the coconut project at U.S.D.A. Chapman Field Plant Introduction Station. ( A mouth full)

Dave Romney has had some for sale at SFPS sales at FTBG. I got mine from him.

In my book this is the most (RLR!) beautiful coconut in the world.

Keep me in mind when your nuts are ready.

The nuts from the 'Spicata' coconut, that is.
