Only for USA shipping. Have enough for the first two people to post in this thread that they'd like some. Each person will get about 10-11 seeds. Post here then PM me name & shipping address.

I don't usually get seeds because I cut them down before they're mature enough to create seed and let new stems in the clump grow. Here in S FL we grow new ones by separation because it's much quicker.

Cool looking seeds aren't they?

I don't need any seeds, I divide them up for more plants too.  But I have never looked at the seed pods when they flower...they look like furry candy corn!  :D

They don't form seeds until the stem is pretty big.  You won't see seeds form during the first several years of flowering. Then they'll start forming a woody seed pod that opens as it dries out and  is similar in appearance (although much smaller) to a Travelers palm Ravenala madagascariensis seed pod.

Does Strelitzia reginae produce similar seeds?  Seems to me I've seen Ravenala madagascariensis seeds with blue fuzz instead of orange.

I don't know about the Strelitzia reginae, I've had what I believe is one for about 20 years and it's looked the same, never flowered. I tried moving it about 10 years ago because it never got bigger, but it just looks the same.  I kinda wish it would just die, pic below.  Yes the Ravenala madagascariensis seed covering is blue, lower pic.

The density of hue on these seed coverings is amazing!  If I didn't already have a BoP in a pot I'd definitely ask for seeds.  If only to see if I could get them to go up here in Platte River country...
