Do you grow this year round in your garden? And if so, do you protect it during the winter?

Yes...it stays out.

Tree ferns are very easy to protect over winter but are much more cold 

sensitive than palms...I had been using a rose cone as seen here...

but the fern has about 2' of trunk now,so I cut the top off the cone and added an insulated 

plastic bucket with about 10/ C-9 lights on a thermocube, on 35/45 off.
