So i noticed there wasn't a group dedicated to coconut palms specifically so I created one that is for the purpose of sharing experiences with coconut palms and sharing information and the interest shared for coconut palms. Feel free to join its a Facebook group.

Great.  I will look it up and join it as soon as I get out of Facebook Jail in about 2.5 weeks.  It seems like there is more and more being censored on Censorbook  now, I mean Facebook.

Why not work with the administers of this Forum site to create a Sticky or category here ?

FB groups are difficult  , and postings just fade away into the past , and exclude the 50% of the people that will not join Facebook .

It just splinters things up .

Here is my 14 year old Coconut Tree (2008).  Don't have Facebook.    Got it for $5.00 on the way to Road to Hanna. (Maui)  Small produce stand side of road.  Flew back to Florida with it in  my carry on luggage.  Using well water irrigation for 20 minutes  everyday in spring and summer. Gets natural rain water in winter months.   It's in full Florida sun all day.  Palm fertilizer from Lowes and 7 lbs. of Epsom twice a year.  Once in awhile I throw cow manure around the base of tree.

Yeah, my account was suspended for a month.  And I think they add to the original time of the suspension.  I thought I had 2.5 more weeks left, but now they are claiming 21 days left.  This is happening to some other people I know too.  Facebook claims that just about anything is "offensive" now and violates their terms.

Nice looking Coconut Palm.  Seminole, that's on the Pinellas Peninsula?

Yes Pinellas County.  Just south of Clearwater.  My soil is mostly sand.     I have wrapped the trunk a few times over the years when it gets cold.  Below 32 degrees.
