Dwarf sabal minor, 19” tall. There’s 4 flower stalks at various stages of development 875D6859-DFB6-44FC-979D-BF21171C29A4.thumb.jpeg.0f16309b541b46dada657de28700ad36.jpegSabal minor mccurtain, first time flowering. Outstanding! :greenthumb: 2 of my needles have been blooming for a few years, I think I’ve narrowed down that one is female and one is male. I’ve never tried to hand pollinate them, might be on the list for next year….would be cool to have viable needle seeds

Yeah, I saw you post about them not flowering a few weeks ago. That’s really weird…you should be ahead of me season wise I would think. Still no inflorescences poking up at all on them?

The mccurtain had the trophy in the bag I thought…then out of nowhere the Birmingham shot this flower stalk up sky high. It’s one bed lower than the mccurtain and the flower stalk is taller. I’m 6’1” and my head doesn’t touch the siding. I haven’t measured exactly but has to be 10’0” tall, crazy. 7712246F-0C7F-4782-8D3D-054853EF486F.thumb.jpeg.5444f9f5309757cbcb39e2c4f7b7f294.jpeg
