The tail end of Dean ended over California and before Felix there is tropical storm Henriette off Mexico's Pacific coast.  Expected to become a hurricane, Henriette is forecast to move into Baja California by Monday.

NWS-San Diego 9-1-07

ANOTHER FEATURE TO WATCH IS

THE MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF HENRIETTE. EXTENDED

MODELS SHOW MOST OF THAT MOISTURE GOING INTO AZ ON THU AND FRI NEXT

WEEK...BUT ENOUGH TO CLIP THE SOUTHEAST PART OF OUR REGION AND BRING

SHOWERS AND/OR TSTORMS.

Felix may very well take the same route as Dean per the Weather Channel.

HENRIETTE might make it to california in the form of some moisture. I think it might just make it, some of the forecast models suggest that the moisture might make it to california. If the waters are warm enough the low might enhance a lot near the coast. Well... Maybe not, but it never hurts to hope. It will probaly fizzle out and just enhance the moisture in the dessert.

Felix will not be a friendly cat when it hits Beliz. Look out! 2 in a row! We may see a new record or 2 for this one before its over. BTW look out Texas.

yes ken it is a definite thing to watch.

we are already saturated here. had an inch over the weekend, it seems like it's never gonna dry out.

if it breaks up enough as it comes over the yucatan we can breathe easy, if it's running fast and hard and just slides over we may have a problemo.

An interesting aspect of Felix is that hurricane Dean churned up the ocean enough to actually cool down the water temp a tad.  As Felix approaches category 5 it could have been worse, believe it or not  ???

Oh, dear god.  Hope not.

I'd hate to think of Category 6 . . . .

Felix broke a record last night as it became the fastest hurricane to go from a TS to Cat5. Just 51 hours!!!!!!

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to make it here. :(
