Picked  up a 1 gal plant back in 2008.  It's doing GREAT and doesn't seem to mind my dry garden.  Again there may be ground water down there  somewhere  LOL  But it's far to rocky to dig a hole looking for it and I believe here you need permission from the government to drill a well.

This is a nice arenga. I have one that I can’t I’d but undulatifolia has to be my favorite
