... of what European growers must go through, when they want to take proper care of their palms! It is not only, that many, if not all, of the proven effective fungicides are banned in the EU (thiophanate-methyl, chlorathalonil), even finding the biological hydrogen peroxide in the proper concentration is a hard task, beyond any imagination. Available pure solution is namely only one with roughly 3% concentration. Anything above this percentage is available only in creamy form (with undesirable emulgators mixed in), that is an item suitable only for hairdressers to the purpose of hair dyeing. So if one wants a stronger solution for disinfection of the palm's meristem, he has to home make it using as raw material a very strong concentration called peridrol (30 or 35%).  Latter is still available in the local market but it is legally reserved only for professionals because it is considered a raw material for the making of explosives! Fortunately my spouse is a pharmacist and as such has a permission to buy this stuff.
