Just got a bunch of Roystonea regia seeds from RPS. All of them float in water.. is that a bad sign? The chamaedorea seeds on the other hand did not float (but one).

Roystoneas should sink unless still covered with fruit.

I’d let them soak overnight. The fiber layer on those seeds has a skin that can hold some air.

Pot them up anyway. You may get more germinations than you expect.
