Definetly see the similarities. Was thinking yours looks a little slicker softer to the touch right off the bat . :floor:

You are the Jubaea master!

Here's a side pic from right now. Turned on the brood light so I can get a good pic. (18C right now. No need for supplemental heat).

Here it is:

Wow! Yours are awesome!  I have tried to procure one (J. caffra) to no avail.

They are just uber beautiful palms!!

Going to turn off the lamps, but I had to take this pic.  Not hijacking.

But darn, they look good.

The golden Cocos nucifera look a lot like J.caffra sans the Jube split and the Coco fiber.

I forget who it was who played an awesome prank on all of us several years ago posting a pic of his juvenile (20 year old) Jube with a half coconut husk (face up) on the base of the caffra and real coconuts hanging from the petioles/rachis. It was super funny.

If it weren't for the lack of fiber between the petioles, it would have passed for a golden coconut palm.

My two have been in the ground for 16 years, no idea how long in the pot before planting.  Hope to see seeds before I die.

The larger went in the ground from a 1 gallon pot in 2005.  First picture is from 2008  Second about 6 months ago.

I got some seedlings I grew from the famous tree in the first picture! Thought I’d throw another picture of my biggest one thus far showing some cool Orange .
